Car seat sizes can seem confusing as there are several different systems used to categorise them.To simplify this confusion manufacturers and retailers now refer to car seats in Groups, i.e. Group 0, and these are based around the child's weight. For a younger child it?s their weight and not his or her age that is the critical factor in deciding which car seat is suitable and safe. It's simpler and safer if you think in terms of choosing the right seat for your baby's weight, as the chart below shows. Some seats are designed to cover more than one group however all of our child seats are designed to meet the current safety standards as set out in ECE R44.03 (or R44.04).
